About Our Band Program
Over the past decade, the ILHS Marching Band has grown from a small 2A ensemble into a highly competitive 5A–6A program recognized across the state and region.
After earning state finals appearances in 2A and 3A, the band continued to expand in both membership and competitive success, achieving finalist placements in every classification entered and multiple top-10 finishes in 5A, including 6th and 9th place. In 2025, the band made district and school history by competing at a Bands of America Regional, marking its emergence on the national stage.
With more than 135 performers, increasing musical rigor, strong leadership development, and a rapidly growing feeder program of 460 students in grades 5–8, the program is positioned for continued growth as it prepares to enter 6A.
Today, the ILHS Marching Band stands as a proud symbol of school spirit, discipline, and artistic achievement.
